About the Role
We are looking for a Property Insurance Sr. Specialist who will focus on property insurance but is also able to navigate through multiple facets of the escrow function of a fast-growing technology and operations-focused business. The Property Insurance (PI) Specialist is responsible for the maintenance of records on mortgaged properties and accurate and timely payment of MI premiums on escrow. PI Specialist processes mail, faxes, and emails pertaining to current bills and researches issues for customers. You'll be working closely with other specialists, as this team and vertical continue to grow!
Responsibilities
- Execute and problem-solve in day-to-day operations for the servicing business
- Provide subject matter expertise for property insurance process requirements for internal and external auditors inclusive of vendor procedures
- Monitor and drive resolution for any property insurance coverage gaps in the loan portfolio
- Ensures compliance with all investor, state, and regulatory guidelines
- Provide oversight to third-party vendors and ensure escalations are responded to timely and accurately
- Collaborate with multiple insurance vendors on highly visible projects to streamline business processes ensuring adherence to federal and investor regulations
- Provide insurance and escrow operations best practice remediation solutions for multiple third-party insurance vendors across multiple internal business partners impacted by insurance regulations such as new loan onboarding
- Provide complex business process requirements to implement preventative and detective operational control reporting
- Communicate issues identified through testing and analysis to vendor and management, including vendor operational risks
- Conduct procedural and systems training for both new and experienced team members including multiple insurance vendors systems
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 2+ years of experience at a mortgage servicing company within an escrow function or an insurance tracking service provider
- Freddie Mac or Fannie Mae servicing experience preferred
- Excellent critical thinking and logical reasoning abilities
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to solve business problems and handle change management in a fast-paced environment
