The role in a nutshell
As a Sr. BI Analyst, you will sit within the Go-To-Market team and work cross functionally with various departments including Technology, Product, and Finance. The Sr. BI Analyst will create reports, visualizations, and metrics as well as improve and create processes using different technological solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience working with the GTM/Sales team on reporting and analyzing trading data such trading volume, inventory axes, prices, and other financial market metrics.

Core responsibilities
- ETL Data Pipelines and Data Integrity Models:
- Build ETL Models and automations for data originating in various formats and sources
- Organize, normalize, and design data structures in data lake/ data warehouse
- Deliver on ad hoc data requests
- Data Visualizations:
- Develop dashboards and visualizations depicting KPIs and other business initiatives
- Collaborate with stakeholders who intend to leverage the reports/dashboards
- Efficiently deliver data for production reports and create ad hoc analysis where necessary
- Provide support for reporting and analysis related questions
- Process Automations:
- Improve processes by creating automations, improving efficiency, and delivering new features
- Identify areas of opportunity through analysis and/or stakeholder feedback
- Build models, test solutions, deploy code and product as well as provide thoroughly documented solutions
Desired experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Economics, or Finance
- 4+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Data Analyst, or similar role
- Knowledge of databases (SQL, AWS, Oracle, MongoDB)
- Knowledge of data modeling
- Experience working with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a plus
- Data warehousing and data mining is a plus
- Advanced SQL and Python is a plus
- Excellent analytical skills using large datasets from multiple data sources with ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data to draw conclusions and assist in decision making
- Experience working in financial services or trading platform is a plus
The base pay range for this position in New York is $120,000 - $170,000 annually. Pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Equity and year-end bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
