We’re a values-driven company and by engaging, solving and evolving together, we create a culture that is collaborative, switched-on, and fun to be part of.The role in a nutshellThe Technical Project Manager reports to the CTO and is responsible for overseeing all internal projects spanning engineering and IT, as well as coordinating all client and partner projects.The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects on time, within budget, and with high quality. The Technical Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, quality assurance, and security to ensure successful project delivery.This is an exciting time for Octaura as we are rapidly growing and are looking for energetic, collaborative and driven thinkers to join us! Please note this role is based out of our NYC office and our current structure is 4 days in the office, 1 day from home.Core responsibilities
  • Manage internal technology projects from initiation to closure, including project planning, scoping, scheduling, and budgeting
  • Coordinate client and partner projects by working closely with clients to define project requirements, timelines, and deliverables
  • Support the CTO by managing and prioritizing daily activities, scheduling meetings, and following up on action items
  • Develop and maintain project plans, including work breakdown structures, project schedules, resource plans, and risk management plans
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, and escalate them to appropriate stakeholders as needed
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards by working closely with quality assurance analysts to develop test plans and execute testing activities
  • Communicate project status, progress, and issues to stakeholders, including senior management, clients, partners and team members
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including project charters, project plans, status reports, and change management documentation
  • Lead project meetings, including kick-off meetings, status meetings, and project review meetings
  • Coach and mentor team members on project management best practices, tools, and techniques

Desired qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5 years+ experience in project management, preferably in software development
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile
  • Excellent project management skills, including project planning, scoping, scheduling, and budgeting
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks and issues
  • Experience with project management, communication and reporting tools
  • Experience managing client projects is preferred
  • PMP certification is preferred
  • Have a continuous improving process mindset to obtain the better results
  • Flexibility to adapt to constantly changing requirements and ability to work under pressure

The base pay range for this position in New York is $150,000 - $190,000 annually. Pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Equity and year-end bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
