About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Finance Analyst with 3+ years of experience to join the Strategic finance team. This role will assist the Director of Finance in all financial responsibilities including: all FP&A responsibilities, month-end close reporting, sales forecasting, fundraising support, board/investor reporting and ad-hoc modeling requests.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the month-end financial reports such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Support in month-end close activities including departmental Budget-vs-Actual reports, and reporting to executive team
- In additional to leading the day-to-day FP&A responsibilities, assist with annual planning
- Support our external accounting team in the month end close process
- Monitor financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement
- Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic planning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations
- Assist with quarterly and annual budgeting and forecasting processes
- Provide ad hoc analysis and support to senior management as needed
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop revenue forecasts and track progress against targets
- Develop and maintain financial models to support revenue forecasting and scenario analysis
- Work with the sales team to develop pricing strategies and evaluate the financial impact of pricing decisions
- Monitor sales pipeline and provide regular updates on revenue projections to senior management
- Assist with the preparation of sales performance reports and presentations for senior management and board meetings
Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 2-4 year experience in investment banking, operational/corporate finance, financial services or management consulting
- Familiarity with financial reporting, sales forecasting and accounting
- Extremely proficient financial modeling skills in Excel
- Very comfortable with operational accounting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Bonus Points:
- Knowledge of SaaS finance and accounting metrics
- Sales finance experience: revenue forecasting, CRM tool familiarity or quota setting
- Experience with Mosaic (FP&A tool), or related
- TMT sell-side experience
Base salary range is $90-110k, depending on experience
