What we’re looking for

Cross River’s reporting team oversees the preparation and delivery of all financial reports at Cross River, and as Financial Reporting Manager, you play a key role.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage timely and accurate financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, including management, board of directors, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, tax, legal, and operations, to ensure accurate financial information and alignment on financial matters.
  • Assist with quarterly, semi-annual, and annual regulatory filings as needed.
  • Identify and make suggestions for efficiencies and improvements when performing work, specifically with data gaps needed for various accounting and reporting matters.
  • Participate in special projects, system implementations, and process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting processes.
  • Manage or assist with all internal and external audits.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA certification preferred.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in financial reporting, corporate accounting, and public accounting, preferably in financial services or fintech.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, FDIC regulations, and other accounting standards.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, including preparation of financial statements and footnotes.
  • Experience managing external audits and liaising with external auditors.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as ERP systems and advanced MS Excel skills.

Salary Range: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00
