TITLE: Institutional Sales Executive - North American Pensions

LOCATION: New York City (hybrid) or Fully Remote in the United States

SALARY: $125,000 base salary with a 50/50 split

The Role:

As an Institutional Sales Executive – North American Pensions at Canoe Intelligence, you will develop and execute strategies to identify, engage, and close new business opportunities within our Institutional segment with a focus on Pensions based in North America. The position’s primary goal will be to drive revenue growth by establishing strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target institutions.

What You’ll Do:

  • Identify and target potential clients within the public and private pension space
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through proactive prospecting and lead generation activities
  • Conduct thorough research to understand the needs, pain points, and priorities of prospective clients
  • Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the value of Canoe Intelligence's solutions
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales engineering, business development, marketing, onboarding and client success, to ensure a seamless client onboarding and implementation process
  • Negotiate contract terms and pricing agreements to drive successful deal closures
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to the sales management team
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes that impact the institutional accounts sector

What We’re Looking For:


  • 5-7 year track record of success in fintech sales and business development with a focus on pensions
  • Strong knowledge of the pensions industry, including key players, industry regulations, and market trends
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with senior-level decision-makers and influencers
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a focus on driving revenue growth
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales productivity tools
  • MBA highly preferred
