Senior Strategy Manager, Commerce Platforms 

The Vertical Strategy Team is part of the broader Platforms & Financial Services (P&FS) Commercial Strategy team. Our team mission is to position Adyen as the clear choice for embedded payments and financial services and to grow our commercial success across our verticals. The Senior Strategy Manager, Commerce Platforms will play a critical role in the teams’ success by driving the commercial strategy and revenue growth initiatives for net new business acquisition as well as growth of existing customers within our key verticals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payments, past work experience at a Commerce SaaS platform and should have exceptional strategic thinking abilities, and a proven track record of driving commercial success.

What you’ll do

• Act as the voice of the customer and analyze vertical specific customer behavior to identify opportunities for product and service innovation and differentiation.
• Develop and maintain customer segmentation to identify opportunities for revenue growth and market expansion.
• In partnership with our Product & Strategy teams, leverage knowledge to strategically enable commercial teams to win deals vs. the competition / grow existing customers, e.g. sales motion guidance, selling materials, knowledge share, etc. 
• Define pricing strategies and packaging strategies to maximize profitability and market share within the SaaS platforms verticals.
• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes that may impact the SaaS platforms vertical, and proactively identify strategic opportunities or risks. 

Who you are

• A minimum of 5-7 years of prior experience in a commercial strategy position within the technology sector
• Previous experience at Commerce SaaS platform is essential for the role 
• Clear understanding of the payments and financial sector, as well as financial technologies
• Experience working in a global, multi-cultured, fast-paced, commercial environment.
• Support commercial teams to drive product enablement and impact.
• Can prioritize and communicate efficiently.
• Enjoy motivating teams globally and bringing energy that inspires.
• Thrive working in a collaborative, empowering environment.
• Ability to travel internationally
