Card Scheme Operations Analyst

In order to build a sustainable business, we, as a financial institution, need to know at all times what our customers are up to and whether this is in line with Card Scheme regulations and our risk appetite. The Scheme Operations team is responsible for ensuring that our customers are compliant with these regulations.

As a Card Scheme Operations Analyst, you are always looking to optimise our internal processes and find scalable solutions to keep our portfolio compliant. You support strategic business growth while meeting compliance goals and mitigate non-compliance losses for Adyen and its clients. You need to work closely with different teams globally, such as Compliance, Sales, Account Management, Card Payments team, and Product.

What you’ll do:

  • Take ownership over our operational client risk management (with a focus on the Card Scheme compliance related risks);
  • Facilitate our growth by scaling internal processes and focus on continuous optimisation and automation;
  • Provide daily expertise on Card Scheme related inquiries, both internally and externally;
  • Execute large and complex remediation projects to keep our portfolio compliant. Work closely together with our customers, Account Managers, Card Schemes and other stakeholders.
  • Work as an intermediary between our Scheme Compliance department and other teams.

Who you are:

  • Knowledge of Scheme rules, with specific experience in e-commerce landscape will be considered a plus;
  • Extremely detail oriented and organised;
  • A self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced tech environment;
  • You have strong analytical skills and believe efficiency is key;
  • Natural sense of urgency, there is no tomorrow;
  • Ability to convey compliance and Card Scheme Requirements to our customers and commercial teams.
  • Solid people skills, specifically you will be able to collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Possess sound judgment and flexibility in changing courses and solving problems swiftly.

Please note that this role is a full-time position in Amsterdam. It will require a relocation in case you live outside of the Netherlands.
