Linux System Engineer

Adyen is looking for an experienced Linux System Engineer for its Infrastructure Engineering team in Amsterdam. This position involves working on distributed, real-time, 24/7 systems with interesting performance and security requirements. In this role you’ll be responsible for building, maintaining and scaling our rapidly growing platform. You’ll provide the core components needed for our platform to be in top shape.

Who you are

You are experienced in building, operating and troubleshooting large-scale on-premise infrastructure spanning multiple data centers across the globe. Have a solid understanding of the Linux operating system and feel right at home on the commandline. Automation is the only way to go for you.

You have experience with most of the below mentioned technologies and concepts, and are willing to learn the others.

• Puppet configuration management
• Foreman hardware lifecycle management
• Linux, Firewalls, TCP/IP networking, PXE, DNS, HTTP(s)
• IPMI, Redfish and BMCs (iDRAC, iLO, XCC, etc)
• Programming or scripting language such as Python
• A minimum of 5 years experience

What you’ll do

• Work on the automation and scalability of existing components of the platform
• Be involved in key architectural decisions that determine the future of our platform
• Troubleshoot and investigate technical issues
